财政部副部长拿督斯里阿末马斯兰说，截至今年4月23日，全国无人认领款项高达112亿令吉。

他说，在这逾百亿未被认领款项中，有70%是银行存款，其余是未被处理的薪资或利息。

他补充，这些银行存款都被存放在长时间不活跃的银行户头中，这些钱一直没有被户头持有者认领。

“户头长时间不活跃，甚至(不活跃)长达7年，若户头内的钱在户头长时间不活跃后仍没有被提取，银行会启动相关程序将有关款项交给国家会计局。''
